Another ghost build that started in my vacation. All parts are ready for paint, unfortunately the weather isn't cooperating.

Too windy and wet. I can't open my window to let the hose from my spray booth out. Rain will come in 🌧️

Following.
PS: you can guide your hose into a bucket with a bit of water and a lid with an airvent.
Check: How to use a bucket to vent a spray booth on Youtube. I will build myself one too as the concept looks very convincing.

The yellow needed 7 more thin coats. More than half a jar was used on this small car.

Hey Martin, you can buy colored primers like yellow or red. 2K as well.

Thank you gents.
I have black, yellow, white, pink, three kinds of grey and rustoxide red primer. But the zero paints yellow "needs" 2k and that is one of my greys. That paint is soooo thin with colour. The decanted ts-16 on my Aussie truck covers so much better.

Assembly has started. Most has been done. Now the body needs clear coating.

Thank folks.
And I totally forgot to mention: The decals made by Spanjaard worked exactly as I hoped.

The finished Beetle looks very good 👌 Was there any particular reason why you had 2K primer on the body and Mr Surfacer on smaller parts? I just recently tried primer, but used the same all over...

Hi Yngy, the yellow is from Zero Paints. Their paints are more hot than Tamiya or others. Meaning: more thinners that can melt your plastic, even through a primer. A 2k primer protects the plastic from this.
Another solution is many many very thin layers of paint, with ample drying time between them.
I find the 2k solution a bit faster.
