1/20 SAFS Snowman Winter Merc Suit.

I suppose I should make a start on one of these, as I have six. This one will be mainly box stick decals and paint, with just metal power cables and general clean up.  

So far I've just glued some parts together. Tomorrow I'll make a start on the rest of it.  

 

 

 

 

 

Beginnings of actually building one of the six SAFS Snowmen I own. Always wanted to do one as a boxart build. 

Base layer grey and beginnings of rust and weathering. Whites, more rust, more weathering and then decals. I'll find some replacement wire spring power cables too. More Snowman goodness soon. This'll be my first open cockpit suit build, with a pilot too.

I think I'll have this one wrapped up in a few days, it'll be my first of 2024 by then. Started chipping and adding details. Painted on smiley face. Think I'll paint on the unit numbers too. Nice little build. 

 

 

 

 

 

Not much done today, just added hip armour, and some shading. Arms, power pipes, and final bits n bobs soon.

Back to painting finally today. Managed to do a startled Virgil Tracy from Thunderbirds in the cockpit, it's alright, it'll do, I don't do faces. Almost finished, I've added both arms, painted the recognition flashes, and weathered/chipped them, added left laser arm power cable and weathered it. Just need to add some decals, weather, chip then that's it. Three weeks off and on.
