this is the 7th Legacy Hornet I've built so far (5th time with the Kinetic kit) and I think it's my best one. the Canadian hornets have some cool little features that i love, like the spotlight and false canopy. and i know that it's just a slightly different shade of gray up top, but it makes a huge difference to my eyes, but that's probably because I'm looking at Hornets all day ┐(︶▽︶)┌
i also had some really great reference images for this build that were invaluable when it came to weathering and deciding on a loadout.
this one was completely out of the box. the only thing i added were some seat harnesses made from masking tape. well, i say completely out of the box, but it was kinda out of two boxes . I think this kit must have been a slightly older boxing, because the decal sheet was well short of all the required no-step stencils (pretty prominent on these Canadian Hornets!) and the number on the upper starboard wing was the wrong color. luckily, i had another boxing of this kit, and that decal sheet not only had the correct color number but it also came with enough no-step stencils. i'm guessing Kinetic fixed it at some point.
