F-86D「月光」(Gekkō - Moonlight)

Album image #1
F-86D-45 04-8197, from 103rd Hikotai, at the end of her career, the 3rd of November 1968. The squadron had been disbanded on the 1st of October.
A brand new F-104 is parked nearby.

Album image #2
Ready player one !

Album image #3
Dry fitting… great !

Using the Def.Model conversion set to install the bumps of the TACAN system… well, it is not so easy. I would have preferred to get the bumps to glue directly. Instead of that, you have to use the guide-part, then scribe and drill, and make quite an effort to fill the gap afterwards. One done, one more to go…

Album image #5
TACAN bulges are eventually in place, juste a little clean-up will be necessary when the two half fuselages is assembled.
Started the job in the cockpit, removing the casted harness, adding the back and head cushions, and remake the armrests.

Album image #6
Dry fitting check, with the cockpit and the air intake: sounds good.
For the weight, 11g of load in the radome, plus 6g above the front gear bay will be more than enough…

Album image #7
Some panel lines have been « forgotten », need to scribe some.

Album image #8
Correcting one panel line.

Album image #9
More details have been added added on the seat and associated stuff.
