August 5, 2021Drying time. .2
August 8, 2021The sprues are not numbered so finding the parts is a lot of fun3
August 8, 2021In order to use the eduard parts I have to remove/sand the details of the radio, side console and instrument panel.4
August 8, 2021This model is a natural tail sitter so after reading the comments of other modellers I start the model by looking for places to put weight. Inside the radio is a good place but we need to remove some plastic5
August 8, 2021Areas marked can take some weight to.6
August 8, 20217
August 8, 20218

August 9, 202110
August 9, 202111
August 9, 2021About 35 gr here12
August 9, 20218gr more. So almost 60 gr total. Thes weight is as close as possible to the front but I think its not enough yet. Anyway a lot less will be needed behind the cokpit or in the engine nacels.13
August 14, 2021Dry fit to check the balance. It will be big and needs more weight14
August 14, 2021Cockpit has been gloss coated . It will have a wash and some other things to give it a better look15

August 14, 2021Waiting for the seat belts19
August 16, 2021Seat belts are done. They take some time but I like the way they look.20
August 16, 202121
August 16, 202122
August 16, 2021Cockpit is joined to the right side of the body fuselage.I need more weight.23
August 16, 2021At this time I have about 180gr of lead in the body. Will it be enough?24
December 28, 2021Moving forward. Upper and lower halfs of the wing glued (big mistake) and big ejection marks to deal with.25
December 28, 202126
December 28, 2021Some sanding is needed but not to much putty.27
December 28, 202128
December 28, 2021Engine nacelles will need putty and sanding......a lot29
December 28, 202130
December 28, 2021Okay. My fault. Big mistake. I`ve some experience so I could had avoid this.31
December 28, 2021A lot of pressure was needed
32
December 28, 202133
December 28, 2021Not to bad but could have been avoided.34

January 3, 202244
January 3, 2022Not bad at all Revell45
January 3, 202246
January 3, 2022This one is big.Thats a fact.47
January 3, 202248
January 6, 2022The overall fit of this kit is quite good but I had to use plasticard here49
January 6, 2022Tail complete. No more significant weight will be aded in this area so I can say this one will not be a tail sitter.50
January 6, 2022Carefull mounting around here.51
January 6, 202252
January 6, 2022The clear part didn`t fit. A lot of reshaping was needed.53
January 6, 2022Until now the fitting is okay . I already tried the canopy parts and it looks there will be no major problem.54
January 6, 202255
January 10, 2022Three diferent canopies for diferent versions available so I`m using this one to cover the canopy instead of masking it with tape .56
January 10, 202257
January 10, 2022I know I`m old fashioned, old, whatever you like to call but I will love this tins forever. I will use them forever .Somehow they make me feel twelve years old.58
January 10, 2022I still don`t like this landing lights59
January 10, 2022Hope everything ok now around here60
January 10, 2022Wheell bays still to mask .61
January 11, 2022Moving forward. Already start with the painting. I was in a hurry to see if I war able to make the reverse motling. For this I`m using Hataka laquers and a Iwata HP BH 0.2mm.62

January 14, 2022This side is almost done. Upper and lower side. Left side still waiting. maybe this weekend.
69
January 18, 2022Normaly in this scale I try to paint as much as I can. All major markings and symbols will be painted on instead of using decals.70
January 18, 2022I use Montex masks but ....... I tried them once again over laquer paint. Don`t ever do that.Montax masks can`t be used over laquer paint. They will stick quite hard. it`s very difficult to remove them and the glue stays on the model. It can be removed later with enamel thinner (tamiya X20 ) but it´s very difficult.71
January 18, 2022After some hard work it looks acceptable......72

January 18, 2022It`s a lot more better than decals ? I think it looks nice.78
January 19, 2022Painted markings are done. These are actually the decals. The right side needed a big restoration to look good so I decided for the decals on both sides. Letters C and L are painted so no problems with silvering here .79
January 19, 202280
January 30, 2022Decals applied .A coat of gloss varnish also applied81
January 30, 202282
