AREA 88: "A Wild Goose Chase" (SEPECAT Jaguar)

A cute little box. 

Not a lot on the sprues, I have to say... 

Well that went together pretty easily. 

Let's add some putty... now there's two! 

Time for some wiring for the lights... wait... now there's three! 

And... the wiring is all done... uh oh... there’s four! 

Some pilots and chairs. 

Pilots are seated and ready to go. Did my best to follow the colour scheme of the Patrouille de France. 

Canopies on, everyone's set to go! 

Filled in some of the holes, and added a bit of a plate on the underside to hide a huge sink mark. 

Canopies masked and some undershading attempted. 

First coat... all white! 

Second coat... red! How did I miss that masking line... oh, no! One of these things is not like the others! 

More complex masking... 

And now we have blue... but we need some touch ups. A bit expected given the complex masking. 

Roundels are painted on. The centre dot was a bit hard to manage. 

Engines in place and lights tested. Good to go. 

And, we have takeoff! 

...and a quick light check, and we're done!
