F-14D Super Tomcat (Last Flight) Revell
Just to get started.... more to come
Going to detail up the seat a bit: masking tape seatbelts to sit in the lower part, with a bit of wire
The tube assembled, turned out it looks good out of the box, quite convincing for the scale
The seats had the uper seatbelts molded on, but I had to scratch build the lower ones
I think it is good enough to display the canopy opened
The fan intake, trying out AK interactive True Metal, dark aluminium, just brush onto it and buff! good stuff!
Some wash with vallejo game, simple and efective, but not washable so be carefull!
Intakes are done
Hope that it adds to the finish of the overall plane
I fell that I have to busy up a bit the wheel well
One side done
Both sides done
Time consuming job, I hope that it pays off in the end
Extensive use of the plastic filler: pieces of sprue melted in Extra Thin cement with a few drops of red paint on it to keep a track about what I am doing
Here the result in one side: finaly the shape is correct and one more side to go...
Dry fit reveals another massive gap to deal with, the assembly has being a nightmare, I can´t wait to complete it and move into the painting.
Unfortunatly, the thickness and magnification efect don´t alow much of the work in the interior to be appreciated, I´m thinking in find a way to display it opened, as there is no option for that in the instructions...
Front view of the assembly, I painted the armored glass in gunze clear green and than gave it a bath in Future
Intakes so far, still sanding and reescribing to do
Quick dry fit to see how it will look, that´s the point I am so far...

My first modern jet since I was teenager at more than 20 years ago, the plan is to do it almost out of the box, adding just the little pitot tube from Master Models, also paint using vallejo primer/acrylics and use vallejo washes, let´s see how it turns out
