I really liked the build sequence in the film, tried to find a clip of the build and flight all in one but couldn't so I've have found two separate clips instead, though this one seems to be in Russian, anyhow the build from suitcases clip -

haha not without melting 😄
and thank you 🙂
The decal round the nose was hard work to get lined up properly and smoothed in, took many applications of decal softener but got there in the in the end.
Once I had almost finished it I had to watch the movie again and only then did I realise some differences, silver on the underside of the fuselage, the registration no. is to low on the tail, Bond had a white shirt not blue, but I did start this kit years ago and has been left neglected until now. Plus I didn't put the weapons on, but that was deliberate as I wanted the sports version. Overall I am happy with it as it is a marked improvement on my previous models and I don't mind that it wouldn't win any competitions just satisfying to finally have it on the shelf complete, although I might come back to it and have a go at putting the ignition cables on the engine 🙂

I have to say I do think this is my favourite looking autogyro. Wallis designed a classic with this one, apparently one of the best performers too as he has designed and built some record breakers, clever guy 🙂

Very cool! Thanks for posting the video clips - been quite some time since I seen any of the Shawn Connery Bond flicks - I should remedy that ASAP! lol

You Only Live Twice, absolutely the best Bond film ever, no question !
Anyhow, yeah it's a sweet little kit, I quite fancy one in 1:6th scale for RC flying. 🙂

I remember seeing it fly at the 1972 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch.

You lucky geezer 🙂
I would like to have seen that, I do think that Wallis designed the most elegant, simple and thus best looking autogyros, everything about them looks just right 🙂

Little Nellie was piloted by Wing Commander K.H. Wallis. He was having a mock chase with Chick Woodroofe in the Promotasport Course car using the "club circuit" and blank ammunition. Great track Brands Hatch. Great event with free rides around the full track in a "mini bus" driven by a wannabe Grand Prix driver in racing overalls. Everybody hanging on and being thrown all over the place (no seat belts in those days). Programme cost 25p.
