I've got this Peterbilt Wrecker (Revell 7541, 1:25) kit incoming with a cabin and hood with some oops. I'm looking for the best donor kit. Any suggestions?

I have had good experiences with Revell's customer service. 2 out of 3 times I had the spare parts in my mailbox a few days after the call, only with parts for a kit that was last in the catalog 26 years ago I could not be helped.

Now Revell requests money for new parts. Not long ago I asked for a decal sheet. I got an offer and had to pay the decals and shipping.

if the only issue is the crack, it should be possible to fix it, I think

I'll have to see the parts first for myself. I do have a kit that is supposed to be in the same timeline. And there is alway a kit to be found on eBay or something similar.

I'm all over this! First time I've ever seen a cab, damaged in that place though? That's really gone through a serious crush. My offer always stands? I agree with the lads, Revell still produce this kit, but at what price for a replacement, I wouldn't know? Definitely check that whole cab, for square, before even attempting paint, if you choose to repair? The doors are a tight fit, and the window glass is two separate units. Anything that isn't square, will give you a nightmare, unless you glue the doors shut. And definitely, only use clear cement/wood glue, for the window. The glass parts, are probably the most nailbiting part of the cab!

Oh, the decals can be fixed quite easily, by leaving them in the sun. I'm not sure about the condensation aspect of your windows, but if the window sill is dry, and you don't have a cat, just leave them on the silly and the sun will do the rest. Takes a bit of time, but it works 100%

I updated my 359 album for you. Hopefully, it will convince you that my offer is for real? I want to see you build this without issues, because it's such an iconic kit. Anything I can do to help, I shall. There's absolutely NO part, that I don't have, more than twice. You might want to check your chrome sprues though. The handrails that go on the bed, are prone for breakage, from the factory. These kits, were never packed, very well. 🙁

I just checked all the bags. There are 3 pieces loose in total, and all handrails are okay, albeit a bit bendy, And yes Bozzer, I'll take you up on your offer.
One corner of the box has been mistreated and that is exactly where the cab is.
And the cat will be executed before I build this one. I might practice on my other 359 to get the hang of it.
