Finished the Hasagawa 1:72 Grumman X-29 the other day. It was a fun build for my first jet/turbine model in some time. It did not turn out as well as I liked, but again I learned a great deal in the process. The first thing that I learned is that white can be a huge challenge! I decided to try using a gray primer instead of black, thinking it would be easier to cover, but it still has a gray tone to the finished product. I probably could have added one more coat of white, but I decided to keep it the way it is as something to reference in the future. I also got reminded to review my reference images and instructions. The area right in front of the turkey feathers should be white like the body, but I ended up painting it the same color as the turkey feathers. I am very happy with the cockpit, and the way the decals settled, for the most part.
