Hi Oliver! According to my reference, this exact aircraft was not been seen really much weathered, except the fuel tanks. And yes, I tried a heavier touch this time. 🙂

Nice work. One little thing i noticed: in reality, the fuel tanks are always on the inner wing pylons. Did you changed it to show the impressiv markings?

Thanks Fall & Piotr!
Falk: Great insight. Those pylons have not been glued yet. So, yes, they will be adjusted into a ordinary plan. 😉

I am not sure if this section really appears on a US Navy aircraft carrier ? Looks like the deck of an Amphibious Assault Ship - LHD/LHA(R).

I did not see any white markings on the elevators before , so mayby you can load up a reference picture of your source. Thanks in advance and I continue to follow closely 😉

This is awesome, I also really like the stains and the texture you achieved on the elevator 👍
@oliver: I was wondering as well 🙂

Thanks Oliver, Daniel.
Oliver:Actully, I noticed those marking on elevator no.3(starboard) & 4(port) was added around 2008. We can see a "clean/original" elevator in older references here:

[img2]
Most of plastic kits take these original marking schame.
Then we can see a marked elevator in newer photos:

But elevator no.1 & 2(starboard front)are still no marking.
🙂

@Harvey H.W. - where did you get dimensions of the elevator ? Your great looking work inspire me to do base like this to my next naval build 🙂

Thanks Piotr, WhiteGlint.
Piotr: Well, by searching some top-view photos, scaled plans and measuring in photoshop, you should get a set of numbers that is accurate enough for 72th scale. Also, there are a few brands have elevator base kits. They can be 2nd-handed references. 😉

Album info
Academy's EA-18G has a very good panel lines & rivets foundation. Though it was developed from a MCP series, many modification for our electronic-warfare model required saw, putty and cement. Good to go 😉
