It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye. Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Very nice and interesting personal story behind that work and a nice remembrance. Very well done 👍

I agree with Christian's sentiments. Great photomontage also. Too bad about the RS kit: sounds like the market is ripe for a new mainstream P-38 kit.

Wow, what a cool project! And that camo, quite exotic for a Lightning... 👍

Great looking Lightning, Cristian! I remember reading about the discovery of his aircraft some years ago...

Thank you very much mates. Oh if someone of you decide to spend your holiday in the wonderful town of Alghero in Sardinia, now in an ancient Saracen tower close to the villa where Antoine stayed in those summer months (now it's a hotel) there is a little but charming museum dedicated to our loving writer. One more reason to visit the wonderful sea of this italian island full of ancient and modern history

This is from the horrible RS-Model kit, where no one parts match with the others. There is more putty in my model than plastic. I've spent 3 months working at this plane, but I love Antoine de Saint Exupery and when I discovered that he was on active duty from may to june 1944 at Aghero airport, in the italian island of Sardinia, I decided to not stop me in front of any difficulty. Since when I was one-year old, I spend all my summer vacancy at Alghero, so it was a great surprise to discover that from the same airstrip, me and Antoine take off and landing. In this pictures there is a photoshop with the Alghero airstrip, a little tribute to me at one of the greatest story tellers of all the times.
