Starting fuselage modifications - the Cs.1 had side-mounted fixed guns, so some channels needed to be carved, and a higher engine surround

Reinstated the corrugations on the re-profiled nose and added wing walk slats using 0.4mm rod

Started work on the floats - the F13W floats are the right shape but too long and a section needed to be cut out of each

After the section was removed there was a step at the join (bottom float), which needed to be sanded down (top float)

I like to add weight to the floats, to stop the model from being top heavy and becoming a tail sitter. Here I have used Three Gree Flexible Nose Weight

The Cs.1 floats are not corrugated, and have different top details, so the corrugations have been filled with putty and the upper details sanded down or filled

Added some interior detail with a mix of Pegasus white metal parts and styrene sheet and strip

Tailplane and fin added - fin modified from the F13W kit. The rudder has been reshaped from the Pegasus kit version and had 0.8mm brass tube added as the pivot, which will slot into 1.0mm rod inserted into the tail unit

Thanks for watching, and for the likes. Currently in the process of joining the fuselage together, which will need some filling, sanding, and reisntating corrugations.

Doing a kit bash of the 2 Pegasus Junkers Cl.1 kits and the Revell Junkers F.13W kit to make the late WW1 Junkers Cs.1 - their all-metal 2-seater float plane, which was based on the Cl.1 but with extended wings, floats and a modified tail. The fuselage and wings will come from the Pegasus kits (with 2 needed for the extended wings) and the floats and tail mods from the Revell kit.
