All parts have been printed and the fit still seems to be very well. I had a bit of an issue with the base parts. Some massive warping on the keys/connectors which forced me to saw them off. But it seems to fit quite well now. The few gaps I have here are exactly where the stones would meet so I think I do not have to do any filling and sanding for them.
I am going to take my time with this one, at least in theory. I want it to become my best 3d printed and painted project so far.
In addition I'm currently searching for a wooden base big enough for this as well as a metal plate to attach to.

Hey mates and welcome!
Thanks for stopping by another rather unusual topic, though they are slowly getting usual for me. Figures are a lot of fun and my much needed reset after vehicles like aircraft, tanks and mechs, And they are so different in terms of painting and colours used it's a great change of pace.
Yes, Erik it wasn't cheap but I think the model is very worth it. 😄
I love the Violet Evergarden show and movies and devoured the novels as well so I was extremely happy when I found this wonderful figure for printing.
Printing all parts on my Anycubic Photon Mono X 6Ks took me around 60-70 hours in total. There are some gaps in the base but I will not fill them, I fear screwing up the surface texture when doing so.
What I do not like so much about the base is that the moss is already modeled, but it's only a minor thing. I wanted to sprinkle some moss texture when I saw it but now I have to carefully paint it green.
Because I do not have decals for her eyes but I want to paint a good looking face, I printed her face part eight times, I think. So I have a few tries and will hopefully get them right at least once.
I am worlds away from being a good figure painter but I hope it'll turn out alright. Shenhe and Solid Snake turned out quite good, so I hope I can be a little bit better with this one.

Making progress with detail painting. As always, my brush work is not perfect but it's not so bad. Touch ups are necessary though.
Painted her hair yellow at first and then lightened it up by adding more and more white to the mix.
I think I came somewhat close to the blonde she has. I had to do that similarly with her jacket and all the other colours.
After airbrushing her jacket I painted the details with gold and a fine brush. Her head was printed a number of times to give me several tries to achieve nice looking eyes and her lips also need a bit of red. I think her face will be the most nerve wracking part.

Much appreciated James! I am almost done and can hopefully upload new images soon. I still suck at brush painting and a few areas are slighlty messy but I think Violet turned out quite nicely for my abilites. Definitely good enough to deserve the top shelf in one of my cabinets.

Happy to you have guys on board. 🙂
She's pretty much done but I still have a bit of work to do on the wooden base. I hope I can share the final images some day soon.

A few more images. The wooden base is still missing though...
Painting her eyes worked out much better than I expected, luckily there is enough space to draw them. There are other figures, roughly the same scale, that use realistic faces, instead of the stylized anime look.
