I'm building the same thing. All that PE & plastic surgery.. it was challenging for me to keep grinding to get it all done. I'm finally at the painting stage.

Got them primed... honestly, it looks like most of the PE didn't really make too big a difference.

The tool/spare wheel clamps and the storage rack look pretty good in PE. The detail on the grilles and anti-skid plate is definitely much better than the plastic.

I agree, sometimes it takes much more work to achieve a result that is nearly the same. But it always looks spectacular in "build-mode". Looking forward to your finished models. Are you planning a diorama for it?

Its my first attempt at building armor, so not sure if I am going to put together a diorama just yet, though I have been giving it some thought.
