The pit is almost finished. Next steps are glueing the remaining pe parts, a clear coat and a wash.

Nice start on that cockpit, Sören! And an interesting plane. I'll be tagging along, mate!😉

So far it looks nice:
It will probably need some filler and sanding like the X-1, but the dry fitting didnt show anything serious

Thx Bart😉 This one is currently a bit on hold, because the Tunnan needs to be finished first.

Two / Three tiny spots are still need some attention, but I hope to fix these soon, so that I can start with the paintjob.

Thx Oliver and Stephan!
I hope that this one will turn out ok in the end!
Simple kit but still a lot of work - for me anyway. 😄

Thx Jim and Holger
@ Jim
Give it a try. Its easy to achieve and the result looks more convincing than normal pre shading for example😉

Splendid preshade technique... I use this method on white aircraft (with the different colors, minus the black borders in between, just the panels in different pale colors)

Thank you Bart and Stephan.
I'm a big fan of black basing.
Sure normale Pre-Shading with Black over the Panel Lines is probably much easier and faster, but I dont like the "chessboard" look in the end 🙂

@ Torsten

The decals are done to 99% - one "Hakenkreuz" is missing - and I have to repaint one panel at the engine in aluminium

Oh wow, looking great! I should probably try this kit again at some point, to replace the mess I made of it last time...

I suspect I could do a far better job now I have an airbrush! Oh if I might ask, how did you make the holes in the wings for the engines to fit into? I remember having a lot of trouble with that.

Thanks Erik - Really happy that you like it 🙂
@Katya
I drilled holes around the inner edges of it - I use this tool for my models: ak-interactive.com/p..-hobby-pin-vise-set/ - and after that I used a hobby knife to clean the edges of the hole.

Aha, I do have a pin vise, but I think it is much smaller than this... it's something to think about though!

As long as the drills are smaller as the hole, it doesnt matter how big the vise is😉
You need do drill several holes around the edges and then remove the remains with the knife
