Hi Holger,
I don't have much knowledge about aircraft carrier, so I can't comment how accurate is Italeri flight deck. Kit wise, the deck look nice and simple to assemble with textured surface.
There are rows of recess holes with molded tie downs detail.
What I dislike about Italeri's deck is that it's a bit small for bigger aircrafts. The wings of F-14 protrude out of the the deck. I think the width is also insufficient to position the "shooter" crew.
I personally prefer the size of Verlinden's flight deck to Italeri.
