Dornier Do.328

"Never overlook more obscure models though! They can make for great niche models that are oft-times overlooked! The most interesting kit by far that I own...is one of the VERY RARE Kori-Kit (Germany) 1/72 vaccuum molded Dornier 328. Vaccuum molded is far more difficult as you have to cut the entire model out of a sheet of plastic (for those not common with vacu-formed models).

The model is very basic, with not a lot of lines, due to the type of molding. I am actually converting it to a 328Jet by using 1/144 scale 757-RR engine nacelles, with a bit of modifying of the pylon. The shape and size is VERY close to the 328-style engine nacelle. I am also using 1/144 scale BAe 146-200 landing gear, as it is close in approximating the landing gear of the 328.

By using a bit of imagination, you can come up with some VERY interesting models!"

The Kori Kit Do 328 is in 1/72nd scale. There is a review of the kit in Airline Modeller from October 1996 (Vol 2 No.3).
