WIP on 1/48 Billvine anime kit

Just starting on the rebuilding and painting. Feet first. Since these mecha are supposed to be a mix of machine and organic (insects), I figured the "claws" would get some wear and tear, hence the chipping. I also sharpened the ends of all of them, as they were too fat before. 

Shoulder armour, sword and cockpit. 

Hands (obviously), and claws that are above them. Also sharpened these claws to look better. 

Texturing on shoulder armour using Vallejo putty and sponge. 

Completed arm, with texturing and minimal weathering. 

Back weapons nearly completed. 

Back armour, textured and weathered. 

Start of the diorama base. Just used some dirt from the backyard as groundwork. Will do some shading and add some water and vegetation to complete it. I want it to be nice and simple. 

Head is finished (sorry for the out of focus shot). 

Wings are also painted using Tamiya clear blue (airbrushed), and Molotow metallic blue pen for the veins.
