Sprue. There's some flash here and there. Not much though. 

Well, it's clear these are the clear parts. 

You absolutely need to drill out the holes at the end of the lower wings. Otherwise you'll be stuck with a gap. 

Wings glued. 

That's basic. 

Windows masked. %^&*%& job. 

 

Some bulkheads glued into place, ditto for some windows. 

Masked windows glued in place. 

I't's definitly an older kit. Lower wing is sanded, top wing shows the lesser fit. Filling and sanding it is then. 

The tail on the right is the original, has a lack of detail. The tail on the left has been scribed to show it's actually more than 1 part. 

Glueing the masked windows in place before painting the interior was, well not the smartest move. So I painted over the windows from the inside with the interior colour, a mixture of Tamiya's IJN Green & Tan. 

I didn't forget to paint the canopy in interior green. What I DID forget was the pilot's seat and the connecting part of the interior. Off course I noticed this AFTER cleaning everything. To make matters worse, I don't have the exact mix ratio..... 

Painted the pilot stand Ammo A.MIG-003 Reseda Green. Actually I like this better than my mix. 

Painted the prop tips Revell 15 Yellow. Used the rest for the lifevests. I'll call the pilot Lieutenant Yellowliver 😉 

These must be 4 brothers. Same posture, same face. Shame 2 of them are legless. Painted them in the Revell colours as indicated. Gave them a wash wish A.Mig 1616 Orange Brown. On the picture the 2 brothers on the left have been done. 

Glued the controls. Added the decals for the instrument panel. 

Closed the fuselage. Some putty was needed. 

Glued the upper wing. 

Glued lower wings in place. 

Glued the thingies to the other thingie. 

Stripping wire for Tom's magic. 

What have I done??? The floaters alone need 12 eyes each...... 

All wingstruts have been cut, cleaned & numbered. 

Glued engine nacelles to upper wing. All holes for rigging eyes have been drilled. Also tried some rivetting, that's a rivetting experience. 

 

 

This thing is warped from nose to tail 

Original ladder was too coarse. Schratchbuilt me one from strip 

Eyelets for the wiring 

Drilled out the left exhaust, other will follow 

Everything prepped for paint

Vallejo Sky Blue? Looks pale grey to me

There is some rigging in there. But where?
